We were honored and excited to join The Montgomery County Antique Tractor and Engine Club for their 20th Anniversary this year!
For those who are not familiar with MCATAEC, they participate in events and activities that promote family and community values within our area. Some of the activities they have participated in are: Relay for Life, local festivals, Spring and Fall Book Fairs, Clarksville Veterans Day Parade, Christmas Parade, and donations to the children's hospitals.
On September 26, 2020 we had a great time helping our friends with MCATAEC, engaging with the children and families, and learning a great deal about tractors!
There were amazing vendors and non-profits set up throughout the property at John Bartee Agricultural Center. The food was delicious, the homemade crafts, jams, pastries, and other vendor booths were sure to catch your attention. The children were laughing, playing, and having fun from 9am - 3:30pm.
The Kid's Day activities kicked off at 9:30am when parents and children lined up to sign up for the Kiddie Tractor Pull. The event started promptly at 10:00am. It was such an wonderful event to be a part of! The children were peddling as hard as they could, they were smiling from ear to ear, and they were having an amazing time! Each tractor was wiped and sanitized by one of our dolls before the next child took their turn!
After all the children had their turn, two of our dolls tried their hand at Kiddie Tractor Pull... it wasn't as easy as it appeared! Great job kiddos! You certainly had a tough job and we saw so many of your faces go through the line multiple times and make it to the finals! That's some hard work, great job!
Following the Kiddie Tractor Pull and demonstrations, the ladies took part in Ladies Skillet Toss! So many of our dolls tried their hand at this game. Pearlie Pearl was the last Pinup Standing. She did a great job but one of the other ladies attending the festival took home the prize. Great job to all the ladies that participated. What fun!
At our Pinups for Positivity booth, several of the dolls and even our little dolls were having fun at the photo booth, handing out tractor coloring sheets, crayons, jacks, and providing blank cards for members of the community to write handwritten letters to residents of our local nursing homes and/or our healthcare heroes. Thank you to everyone that stopped by our table and filled out a card. We love being able to deliver notes of love, encouragement, and kind words to our local nursing home residents and healthcare staff!
We were honored to be able to cheer on the tractors for the Parade of Power! President Jim Crisafulli announced each tractor owner, the year and make of the tractor and gave them an opportunity to speak. It was a great parade!
When the tractor train was done for the day, it was converted into a pinup tractor train! We watched the children take tours around the grounds all day and helped sanitize the carts when it returned to the starting point. Who doesn't love a tractor train!?
On behalf of all of our dolls with Pinups for Positivity and on behalf of the community and families that you brought together for this amazing event-- Thank You!
We were truly honored to be able to participate in The Montgomery County Antique Tractor and Engine Club's 20th Anniversary and we had an terrific time at the Fall Festival!
