This week’s spotlight features Hank Casillas and his truck Ron. Hank is probably the youngest licensed member of the Clarksville Gearheads. He was born and raised in Clarksville. At age 18, he just took on his first car payment by himself. Congratulations Hank, that is a huge accomplishment! I asked him what he likes about being a member of the Gearheads. Hank says, “The roar of people’s engines and the smell of burning rubber are amazing.”
Hank’s truck is a 1998 GMC Sierra. He has had the truck for about 2 months and has done a few modifications to it. He added rock lights in the fenders, changed the GMC logo from red to black, changed the interior lights and added a bullet antenna. He is currently waiting to put darker tint, add a 6 inch lift and XD rims. Is this your dream car? Hank says, “My dream car was originally a Mazda RX8 but as I got older I wanted something reliable and fun to work on. So I chose this truck.”
Ron, as Hank calls the truck, is named after his grandfather who passed away about a year ago. It is also short for Corona. He says, “Without the corona virus I would not have been able to work extra hours at work to be able to get the truck.” One of Hank’s favorite places to drive his truck is Ghost Bridge. However, he likes to drive anywhere at night because of the exterior lights.
If you would like to follow Hank and his truck on Instagram, their name is _official.henry_. Thank you Hank for participating in our Full Throttle Thursday blog!
Join me each week to meet a new car owner and their car.
