Bubba Keith is one of the newest members of the Clarksville Gearhead Car Club. I asked him what he likes about being a member. He said, “The local car scene has a lot of variety. It’s an amazing group and everyone is supportive about what goes on. I joined in December because I wanted to take pictures of cars and my friends told me about the Gearheads car meets. Since then I have become part of the family.
Bubba’s owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, which he calls Raven MK7. He has only owned the car for a couple of weeks. He purchased this car after he crashed his 2015 Chevy Traverse. He has installed a Borla performance exhaust. He has also put stickers on it from the MK7 Jetta gang to make it his. Future plans include getting a tune to get as much power out of it as he can, different wheels and possibly a wrap.
I asked Bubba if this is his dream car. He said, “It’s my dream obtainable car. I’ve been a fan of Volkswagen, especially the Jetta line because they stood out when I was younger. I rode with a family friend in one when I was younger and I have memorable moments from that. You can make them into nice cars.” Where are his favorite places to drive? He said, “I like to drive Dunbar Cave Road, Old Russellville Pike and Warfield Boulevard, Riverside Drive, Ashland City Road from 41-A to Ashland City Road, and East Boy Scout Road heading towards Billy Dunlop Park.”
Bubba came to Clarksville because his parents settled here when his dad retired from the military. He attended Kenwood High School and is currently a student at Austin Peay State University. He is majoring in Computer Science. Bubba’s hobbies include photography, cars, music, and technology. He loves photography as it allows him to express his creative skills. If you haven’t had an opportunity to see his pictures, check them out on the Gearheads posts. He has amazing skills with the camera!
