Kole Hudson is a longtime member of the Clarksville Gearheads Car Club. I asked him what he likes about the local car scene. He said, “I like the fact that there is a wide variety of cars. There are new, old, domestic and imports.”
Kole’s car, Sally which is what his kids call her, is a stunning plum crazy purple 2016 Dodge Charger Hellcat. He has owned the car for 2 years. Kole has wanted a car that color since he was 6 years old when his stepdad had a purple 1970 Challenger. This car is his “staying alive” present to himself. In 2016, Kole was hit head-on in his semi-truck by another semi-truck. The driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. He is very lucky to be alive as you can see from the picture. That was a 1997 Kenworth T600 semi truck. He definitely had a guardian angel watching over him that day!
Kole has only done a few cosmetic things to the car. It has tinted windows, tinted side markers and taillights, leg maker cold air intake, color changing headlights and most importantly an In Memory sticker of his dad. Future plans for the car include wicker bill spoiler, rear diffuser, chin spoiler, hydro dipping plastic under the hood, powder coating, under glow neon’s, rims, exhaust, and someday get it to 1,000 rwhp.
I asked Kole if this is his dream car. He said, “My dream car is a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona or a 1970 Plymouth Super bird. I love the winged cars.” Where are his favorite places to drive? He said, “I like to drive my car to Cars n Coffee, Friday night meets, and just go out and cruise with my family.”
Kole was stationed at Ft. Campbell about 2 ½ years ago. He has been in the Army almost 12 years. He spent 6 years at Fort Riley, Kansas, 3 years in the Army Reserves and the rest at Ft. Campbell. Kole grew up in a small town in SE Iowa and has been into cars most of his life. In high school, he used to do demolition derbies. He enjoys watching and attending NHRA and Nascar and spending time with his wife and kids.
