This week’s spotlight features Dustin Parson. Dustin came to the Clarksville area in 2004 when he joined the military. He left the area for a while until it drew him back for some reason. Clarksville has a way of doing that to people!
Dustin’s car is a 1971 Ford Torino 500 and he has had the car since 2015. He got the car from his late grandmother who was the second owner of the vehicle. Dustin says, “I remember her driving me and my siblings in it when we were younger.”
Dustin is currently restoring the car, from completely breaking it down to rebuilding it. You can see all of the restoration progress on his Instagram page. His future plans, as of right now, are to finish restoring it and to take it to his grandmother’s grave site.
Is this your dream car? Dustin says, “It’s not my dream car, but it’s been a dream to have it once my grandmother was ready to let it go.”
I asked Dustin what he likes about being a member of the Clarksville Gearheads Car Club. He said, “I’ve enjoyed that the car scene is growing and I get to see more of what’s out there.” Dustin’s favorite place to drive his Torino is out in the Dover area.
If you would like to follow Dustin and his car on Instagram, their name is @DParson24. Thank you Dustin for participating in our Full Throttle Thursday blog! On behalf of all of our dolls at Pinups for Positivity we want to thank you, Dustin, for your service. We look forward to seeing you and your car at meets and events around town!
Join me each week to meet a new car owner and their car.
