Full Throttle Thursday- @her_camaro82

This week I had the honor of writing about one of our beautiful dolls Alyssa Daniels. Alyssa and her husband, Edmund are members of the Clarksville Gearheads Car Club. I asked her what she likes about the local car scene. She said, “I love how open and accepting the Gearheads are. I love fast, loud and beautiful cars and I feel like I’m going to be able to learn a lot about cars. I also feel like I’m going to gain some good friendships along the way.”

Alyssa’s car, which she calls Firefly, is a beautiful red 2020 Camaro 2SS that she has owned since May of 2020. Having a Camaro has been a dream most of her life. Her mother had a 1969 Camaro when she was pregnant with Alyssa. Edmund keeps her interest in cars and her uncle built race car engines on Long Island, NY so she comes from a car family. Her mother came up with the cars name. She said because the car is red like fire and she flies, she should be called Firefly. What a wonderful name for such a gorgeous car! Firefly has a special meaning to Alyssa that she wanted to share. She said, “When my biological dad was still alive, he always wanted a corvette. He and my daughter loved looking at them and even had one picked out when they went to the Corvette Museum. My dad passed away in 2018 and never got his corvette. I didn’t want to do that, I wanted to be able to have my dream car while I could still enjoy it.” It truly amazes me how many stories I hear about the sentiment and stories that the owners have about their vehicles! Alyssa has not done anything to Firefly yet but in the future she wants to put a different exhaust on and do a ceramic coat. Later on Alyssa and Edmund may decide to do some engine mods.

I asked Alyssa if this is her dream car. She said, “My dream car is a 1969 Camaro SS but Firefly fulfills my dream for now!” Where are her favorite places to drive? She said, “I love to drive down Hwy 79 and on the back roads of Fort Campbell. The road to Dickson is also a nice drive.”

Alyssa moved to Tennessee when she was 10 years old. Her mom remarried and they wanted a farm so they moved from New York to Tennessee. When she was 18 she moved to Georgia for a year, then moved back here and met her husband, Edmund. They moved to Kentucky and have been back in Tennessee for about 2 years. Alyssa has a beautiful daughter and 2 stepsons.

If you would like to follow Alyssa and Firefly on Instagram, their name is her_camaro82. You will likely catch Alyssa and her family at many of the Gearheads and Pinups for Positivity events!

Thank you Alyssa for participating in our Full Throttle Thursday blog! Join me each week to meet a new vehicle owner and their vehicle.
