Full Throttle Thursday- Mr. Bruce

Bruce Richards has been stationed at Ft. Campbell twice and retired from the Army in 1982. Upon retiring he decided to stay in the Clarksville area. I asked him what he liked about the car scene. He said, “I love the wide diversity of cars. I enjoy all types of cars.”

Bruce has several cars including a Kia Sorento and a GMC truck. However this week I am writing about his 1993 Ford Thunderbird. He has been building and modifying this car for 12 years and says it is his “fun car”. The exhaust has been changed and exits in front of the M & H 275/50/17 drag radials. He replaced the Vortech enclosure and installed an extreme velocity hat, and replaced the tubing.

Bruce says that this allows easier carb adjustments and rejetting. A Vortech YSi Supercharged 393 power stroke now powers the car. The fuel cell and the battery are located in the trunk. Flaming river parts were used to route the steering shaft through the headers. Bruce has a website that shows the stages of the builds that he has done at: https://brucerichards.com/bird%20menu.htm.

You can see Bruce and his beautiful Thunderbird at the Gearheads Cars N Coffee events, along with other car events around town.

Thank you Bruce for participating in our Full Throttle Thursday blog!

On behalf of all the dolls, thank you for your service!

Join me each week to meet a new vehicle owner and their vehicle.
